The Inferno at Tipton High School was the stage for a hard-fought battle between Tipton and Kokomo on Saturday night. Despite missing head coach John Peckinpaugh on the sideline, the Wildkats overcame adversity to secure a 63-59 victory.

On My Way Pre-K Available for Local Families
On My Way Pre-K awards vouchers to low-income families so they may have access to a high quality preschool program the year before they begin Kindergarten. We wanted to learn more and met with Kimberly Gordon, our local Project Manager with On My Way Pre-K, and discussed applying for voucher awards and approved On My Way Pre-K programs located in or near Kokomo.

Kokomo to Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with Community Arts Event
The Omicron Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Indiana University Kokomo will host a celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “Living the Dream Through the Arts.” The event aims to showcase a variety of artistic expressions, including music, dance, spoken word and visual arts, all reflecting Dr. King's message of unity and equality.
