During the chilly winter months, warm comfort food hits the spot—even for kids! We visited Hawg Heaven and ordered the Pork Sliders Kids Meal. My kids can be picky about vegetables, but they normally prefer the best when it comes to meat. There was more than enough pork for the two toasted slider buns so the portion size makes the kids meal a great value. All of Hawg Heaven’s Kids menu items are served with a drink and side choice. You can call, order online, or stop in their Defenbaugh Street location for a tasty kids meal or your next family dinner.

Jump & Play at Gravity Trampoline Park

The best place to play indoors in Kokomo is Gravity Trampoline Park! Our kids refer to Gravity as “the jumpy place” and thrive during toddler time, but honestly, as a parent I love Gravity as much as my kids do. Jumping on the trampolines and the additional activities in the jump area are great big action play activities to help my little ones burn some serious energy. After an hour of jump time they are pretty satisfied with their visit. In addition to the jump area, there is an arcade and concession area in case you wanna play all day. If you haven’t visited Gravity before, be sure to check out the hours and special pricing on the Gravity Trampoline park Website. There are a few designated times like “toddler time” or “salvation” that are discounted and allow for a change in pace or mood to suit your family’s liking.

After School Program at Carver Community Center

The Carver Community Center, in partnership with Bridges Outreach, is launching a new after-school program for grades K–5 at the end of this month. Participants will have access to snack time and other fun activities during the after-school program including art, tutoring, robotics, video gaming, music lessons, open gym time and more. Through the program’s partnership with Bridges Outreach, youth will participate in Bridges’ programming on Tuesdays and Thursdays and have the opportunity to earn the opportunity to attend special events on Fridays or Saturdays. The staff and volunteers at the Carver Community Center and Bridges are excited to see this program through and provide a positive place for children in our community after school.
