Later on Saturday afternoon, we stayed at IU Kokomo to see the Cougars take on the IU Columbus Crimson Pride. Throughout the game, the Cougars kept control of the matchup with many of their points coming from inside the paint. They led the first quarter 21-16 with the Crimson Pride just barely behind.
After nearly doubling the second-quarter points of the Crimson Pride, the Cougars finished the half off 40-27. The Cougars came out in the third quarter ready to keep their lead, and they proved this by securing 22 points to that of the 7 points from the Crimson Pride. The Crimson Pride had good numbers for their free throws, but, again, the Cougars outscored them inside the arc making 9 shots compared to the 3 of the Crimson Pride on the same 18 attempts. This gave the Cougars a huge win, 80-45. Mia Catey proved to have a great game with a double-double of 19 points and 15 rebounds.
