We’re here with a new weekly fun calendar, hoping to encourage you and your family to try something new and experience more of what Kokomo has to offer. Recommended Ages 0-5 Kindergarten Readiness
The ultimate play-space for preschoolers, the Very Early Childhood Education Center has open play hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week. With each visit, children receive a free book and age appropriate learning activity. There are so many opportunities to play and learn at this free, open to the public resource center. Their play space includes toys, buildings that inspire imaginative play, and learning activities that encourage hands-on play and building construction/engineering. Join the staff of KHCPL Main for Aviation Adventure with the Grissom Air Museum. This program will teach youth some of the basics of aviation and they will even get to build their own glider. If your teens are creative and enjoy art and writing, they should join the Teen Art Group or Teen Writers Group at the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library’s main location. The groups are meant for youth in middle school and high school and meet consecutively on Thursdays in the large group study. This is a great opportunity for our teens to be creative and meet new people.

This year’s Relay for Life of Howard County Fundraiser will be a Carnival of Colors. In addition to the relay walk, in honor of loved ones touched by cancer, there will be entertainment, food, vendors, and family fun.
