Memorial Day
In remembrance of our men and women who lost their lives while serving in the military, we honor them on memorial day. Many places will be closed or have limited hours. Kokomo and Howard County has many monuments and places you can take time to share the meaning of memorial day with your family including, Championship Park, The Memorial Gymnasium, and our Howard County Courthouse.

Fun for the whole family
Our local bike share is open for the season. Get ready to KokoGO! This is a great way to explore downtown Kokomo with family or friends. To check out a bike rental you must be 18 years old, provide a state-issued ID, and have a credit/debit card held on file in case fees. The bike share has expanded to offer adult, children’s, trikes, tagalong, and tandem bikes as well as helmets and bike locks. You can find more details on the City of Kokomo-Parks Department Website.

Share the nostalgia of playing at the arcade with your family this week. Scanlines Arcade has a new location just off of Dixon Road and is open from 3-10 p.m. Thursdays for a ton of fun. Fun for the whole family
After celebrating their season opening last weekend, we are so excited to see the signs of spring and summer weather so we can play at City of Firsts Adventure Park. There’s fun and competition for the whole family whether you want to take a swing at the batting cages, score on your favorite mini-golf course, or race to the finish line on the go-karts. The Kokomo Parks & Recreation Department and members of the Hoosier Kitefliers Society are hosting a special annual event where kids and families can learn how to build and fly a kite alongside the experts. Free kites are available while supplies last, but participants are encouraged to bring their own as well. Fun for the whole family
Check out Gravity Trampoline Park on Sundays for open jump from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and salvation from 6-8 p.m. Open jump allows the whole family to jump around the entire park listening to the top music hits at $15 per hour of jump time. Later in the day salvation jump time gives you access to the trampoline park for $12 with your favorite worship music playing.
