It’s easy to say that Kokomo is so boring when you don’t know what’s going on in town. Even our kids love telling us how dull life can get when your days all look the same. We’re here with a new weekly fun calendar, hoping to encourage you and your family to try something new and experience more of what Kokomo has to offer.       The Kokomo-Howard County Public Libraries are a great place to play and enjoy your Spring Break. Starting the week at KHCPL Russiaville, there will be special play dough activities set up in the meeting room. Together, caregivers and library staff will help combine storytelling with play dough and allow children to explore sensory dough with scents and textures.       Did you know that Matinee shows before 4 p.m. at our AMC Kokomo are all 30% off the regular ticket prices? You can save a little money while having some Spring Break fun! The adults can enjoy their choice of movies this week but some options for families include  Kung Fu Panda, Ordinary Angels, and Luca for our PG viewers and Ghostbusters; Frozen Empire, Dune, and Imaginary for our PG-13 audience.       For kids in grades K-12

      Be part of the Fired Arts Studio Kids Camp this Spring Break! Three days of art activities will be offered from Tuesday-Thursday. On Thursday, the activity will be embellishing a card stock Easter egg with flower art. All the supplies for the activities and a snack will be provided.       Check out Gravity Trampoline Park on Fridays for toddler/sensory time from 4 to 5 p.m. and family time from 5 to 8 p.m. Toddler/sensory time is just for little jumpers ages 6 and under for an experience with a slower pace and lower kid-friendly music. After that is Family Time where each jumper gets a free slice of pizza and a drink included with the cost of their jump time.       The Kirkendall Nature Center is currently operating on its winter schedule with open hours on Tuesday and Thursday during the week and on Saturday and Sunday. The nature center is home to many Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department (KPRD) activities including creature features throughout the summer months. If you’ve never visited the nature center, it is a great place to learn more about local wildlife species, plants, and insects. In addition to the preserved and live animals, the nature center has games, books, and other hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy.

      If you celebrate Easter, we hope you enjoy this special Holiday. This may cause some businesses to have alternate hours or be closed. The Easter holiday is timely of the early signs of Springtime. Hopefully this Sunday will be a great day for you to spend time with family and friends.
