The Kokomo-Howard County Public Libraries are a great place to play and enjoy your Spring Break. Starting the week at KHCPL Russiaville, there will be special play dough activities set up in the meeting room. Together, caregivers and library staff will help combine storytelling with play dough and allow children to explore sensory dough with scents and textures. For kids in grades K-12Be part of the Fired Arts Studio Kids Camp this Spring Break! Three days of art activities will be offered from Tuesday-Thursday. On Thursday, the activity will be embellishing a card stock Easter egg with flower art. All the supplies for the activities and a snack will be provided. After that is Family Time where each jumper gets a free slice of pizza and a drink included with the cost of their jump time. Fun for the whole family
The Kirkendall Nature Center is currently operating on its winter schedule with open hours on Tuesday and Thursday during the week and on Saturday and Sunday. The nature center is home to many Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department (KPRD) activities including creature features throughout the summer months. If you’ve never visited the nature center, it is a great place to learn more about local wildlife species, plants, and insects. In addition to the preserved and live animals, the nature center has games, books, and other hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy.
