Kokomo’s Ultimate Guide for Holiday Events and Activities

We’ve searched high and low for the best Christmas events and activities to get you in the Christmas spirit this season! Don’t spend Christmas break inside being bored, check out our guide for the best ways to make memories in and around Kokomo!


Local Christmas Light Displays

  • City of Lights in Highland Park

    • Where: 900 W. Deffenbaugh St. Kokomo

    • When: Through Dec. 31

    • Cost: Free, but donations help the Kokomo Family YMCA.

  • Outdoor Light Display at The ConneXion Church

    • Enjoy an outdoor light display presented by The ConneXion Church!

    • When: 6 to 9:30 p.m. Now through Dec. 27

    • Where: The ConneXion Church 700 E. Southway Blvd., Kokomo

  • Christmas at The Seiberling

    • When: Now through Dec. 31

    • Where: 1200 W. Sycamore St., Kokomo

    • Cost: Cost varies, and there are free sponsored nights throughout the season. Please click here for more information.

  • Greentown 4-H Fairgrounds

    • Where: 790 N. Meridian St., Greentown

    • When: Through Dec. 25

    • Cost: Free

  • Sharpsville Lights

    • Where: 422 W. Meridian St., Sharpsville

    • When: Monday through Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 6 to 11 p.m. Lights will be on from Nov. 24 to Dec. 30 - Make sure to turn your radio to 99.1 to listen to music coordinated to the lights for the 45-minute show.

    • Cost: Free

  • Frankfort Holiday Lights in TPA Park

    • Where: 1 Adrian Marks Drive, Frankfort

    • When: 6 to 9 p.m. through Jan. 1.

    • Cost: Free

  • Grissom Lights in the Air Park

    • Where: Grissom Air Force Base, Peru

    • When: 4:30 to 9 p.m. though Jan. 2

    • Cost: $5 per person and free for children under the age of 5.

  • Willis Christmas Light Show

    • Where: The best view is from the Northwest corner of Western Intermediate School’s parking lot. Tune into 91.3 FM on your car’s radio to hear the music that goes along with the show!

    • When: 6 to 10 p.m. from now until early January

  • The Nutcracker

    • Dance Elite presents its annual “Nutcracker Ballet” - tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children 6 years old and under.

    • When: 1 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10

    • Where: Northwestern High School Auditorium 3526 N. 300 E., Kokomo. Click here to purchase tickets.

  • Santa Spectacular by Projects For A Purpose

    • Enjoy a day with the family for a good cause at Project for A Purpose’s Santa Spectacular! Eat breakfast with Santa, get free photos taken, and participate in other Christmas activities and a silent auction at this community event.

    • When: 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 10

    • Where: Bridgeway Church, 1931 S. Elizabeth St., Kokomo

  • Christmas Open House at Posh Salon

    • When: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11

    • Where: Posh Salon and Day Spa, 623 E. Markland Ave., Kokomo

  • Holiday Brass Quintet-Mini Concert

    • When: 3 p.m. Dec. 11

    • Where: Kokomo Grace United Methodist Church, 219 W. Mulberry St., Kokomo

  • Come Meet Santa & Mrs. Santa Claus

    • Enjoy interactive time with Santa and Mrs. Claus this Christmas at Sweet Peas Play Cafe! Experience a craft, a hot chocolate bar, and so much more at this ticketed event. Click here to learn more!

    • When: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13

    • Where: Sweet Peas Play Cafe 1825 S. Plate St., Kokomo

  • Hoosier Shakes Presents “A Christmas Carol”

    • When: 7 p.m. Dec 14 & 15

    • Where: Sun King Kokomo 500 N. Buckeye Suite A, Kokomo

  • Pictures with The Grinch

    • Enjoy free photos with The Grinch provided by True Professional Tax Services! Donations will be accepted to benefit the Family Service Association of Howard County.

    • When: 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17

    • Where: Kokomo Howard County Public Library South Branch 1755 E. Center Road, Kokomo, IN

  • Taylor Township Candy Toss

    • The annual Taylor Township Fire Rescue’s candy toss is a tradition you don’t want to miss! Keep an eye on the Facebook page and listen for the sirens at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17!


Multi-Day Events:

  • Ice Skating at The Frozen Sandlot
    Where: 400 S. Union St. Kokomo
    When: Nov. 26 through Jan. 9 Click here for specific hours.
    Cost: $7 per skater. $5 for non-skaters or if you bring your own skates

  • Christmas at the Seiberling Mansion

    Where: The Seiberling Mansion

    When: Now through Dec. 31

    Cost: General Admission Adults $10, Children K-12th grade $5: Purchase tickets here!

    • Free sponsored evenings: Dec. 1, 2, 8, 9, 15 and 16.

  • Photos with Santa at the Markland Mall
    Where:
    The Markland Mall
    When: Dec. 1 through 24
