Hey Kokomo! The weather has been PRIME for taking advantage of outdoor activities recently and that’s exactly what we did over the weekend. We loaded the family up in the car and headed downtown to check out the Koko-Go Free Ride. If you don’t already know what Koko-Go is, it’s a FREE bike share service located in downtown Kokomo right behind The Foxes Trail. Which leads us to the top five places to stop or things to see while biking through town.

Like I mentioned before, Koko-Go is conveniently located right behind The Foxes Trail which arguably has the best location in town when it comes to outdoor dining and that’s why it’s number one of my list. You can enjoy a mid-day lunch with friends with the view of Wildcat Creek which also has a beautiful fountain.

Next on the list is Foster Park. Is there a more attractive park in Kokomo?! We rode the trail around Foster Park which takes you right by the brand new skatepark which is equally as attractive. Plus, it’s typically filled with people doing some pretty awesome tricks!

This is also where we rode past a couple of teenagers that asked to tag along for the bike ride with us around the park which seriously put the biggest smiles on our faces. Thanks for joining us, guys!

Number three on the list is the creek. We were very impressed to discover that the city put a lot of work into putting small pavilions along the Wildcat Creek where you can sit to rest and enjoy the view. This specific area is located right behind the Jackrabbits stadium.

Number four is Buckeye Street. Yes, the whole street because there are a handful of some of our favorite local spots where you could stop and hang out. You could grab a brew at Tin Man, some of the best chips in salsa in town on the patio at 3 Amigos or a slice of your favorite pizza at Oscar’s. If you’re feeling boujee as we like to say, you could grab a more luxury dish at Marble Steakhouse and hey, you could even stop into Fade for a quick haircut (okay, maybe not, but we thought they needed a shout out as a Buckeye Street resident.)

And last, but certainly not least, Mo Joe’s coffee shop. This was our final stop before the end of our ride through town. We stopped in for a cold drink to cool us off from our 6 mile ride. I got a simple lemonade while my husband got his usual which is an iced chai tea latte.

If you haven’t experienced Koko-Go yet I highly encourage you to. As someone who was born and raised in Kokomo, I was surprised by some of the sights and places tucked away in our beautiful city! So what do you think, Kokomo? Are you going to check out our stops?
