Kokomo Summer Series: Greentown Story Walk
Hey Kokomo! There’s something fun happening out in Greentown if you’re willing to take the short drive. This summer, During the months of June and July, the Greentown public library is hosting a story walk downtown Greentown and we love this idea! It combines reading and a little bit of adventure. I recently took my kids to do the story walk and we loved following the map (find the map here) to find where we were going next following along with the fairytale story. It was great reading practice for both of my girls, and they loved the element of the ‘hunt’ to find the next pages of the book as we followed the map along the small businesses in Greentown.
The June story that’s posted is a fun version of one of our favorites. We enjoyed the walk along Main Street and Meridian Street in Greentown. If you need to take a break from the heat, stop into one of the small businesses along the map, you may be surprised at what you find out in Greentown.
If you check it out in June, be sure to check it out again in July to read an entirely different story. And you won’t find any spoiler alerts here, the stories are a secret so you’ll have to make the short trip to read them for yourself! 😉
What do you think, Kokomo? Are you going to check out the story walk?
