The Kokomo Post Picks of the Week - Sept. 20
Every week we highlight some of our favorite foods, activities, experiences and businesses in the community. Check out some of the things we loved from the last week right here in Kokomo.
Earrings from Elevated Hippie
Located at 206 W. Jefferson St., Elevated Hippie is Kokomo’s latest boutique, offering a carefully curated selection of trendy, bohemian-inspired pieces. Owned by Claire Cooper, this charming shop is set to have its grand opening in October, welcoming shoppers to explore unique fashion finds in an intimate, friendly setting.
Vegetarian Bibimbap from Mr. K’s BBQ
Bibimbap is a Korean dish comprised of rice, assorted vegetables, an egg, and gochujang (a pepper paste) sauce.
When trying Korean food for the first time, this is a wonderful introduction to the cuisine that has now made its way throughout Kokomo!
You can also try this wonderful dish with a variety of meats on top as well.
Located at 1833 S. Plate St., Kokomo
U-Pick Apples from McClures Orchard
McClures Orchard in Peru is now open for U-Pick Apple season! Apple variety depends on time of the year, so give them a call to see if your favorite apple variety is ready! If not, take time to explore the pumpkin patch, petting zoo and the Apple Barn. Click here for more information.
