MO Joe Kokomo Expands: Twice the Space, Twice the Fun for Local Coffee Lovers
MO Joe Coffee Shop, a staple of downtown Kokomo, has just doubled in size, offering even more opportunities for locals to gather, sip and enjoy.
After sharing a building with Fired Arts Studio, which has recently relocated, MO Joe now occupies the space on its own at 106 N. Main St., which owners say for expanded offerings and events.
Deonna Holland and her husband, Steve, have owned MO Joe for a year, maintaining the same warm and welcoming atmosphere regulars have come to love. With the extra space, they are gearing up to host various new events and activities, including birthday parties, coffee-cupping classes, live music and more.
One addition is the option to host birthday parties that come with creative, hands-on activities. Partygoers can enjoy a popping boba sampler or make an acrylic cup to take home, and Holland said they plan to offer bracelet-making parties and other themed events. MO Joe’s coffee shop offerings, including specialty drinks, can also be featured at these gatherings.
“It's exciting to see the life in Kokomo, especially downtown,” said Holland, reflecting on her first year as an owner. “We want MO Joe to be a family space. I love it when families come here and have fun together, but we also want the serious coffee drinkers to have a space here."
In addition to the cozy atmosphere, MO Joe now offers locally roasted coffee from Julian Coffee Roasters, homemade soups, and local tea and tea parties. They’ll also be hosting coffee-tasting classes and introducing a private upstairs room for events or gatherings.
