Kokomo Post Picks - July 24th
Hey Kokomo! Welcome to our Kokomo Post Picks of the week where our staffers and interns pick the things they’re enjoying from all around our favorite city! In no particular order:
Fresh Spring Rolls- This pick of the week is from one of our favorite spots in Kokomo- Pho Nguyen! These spring rolls are incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. They’re make of rice vermicelli, lettuce, fresh shrimp, and we suspect some other fresh herbs in there too but it’s a mystery. They’re served with a peanut sauce for dipping and they’re great by themselves or as an appetizer to one of their yummy bowls of Vietnamese Pho. If you’re not familiar with this place yet, we’re excited to introduce you to them!
Mini Golf at City of Firsts Adventure Park- Located on the south side of our city, The City of Firsts Adventure Park offers all kinds of family fun. Our pick this week is either one their two, 18-hole mini golf courses. After you’re done sharpening your putting skills, you can enjoy their batting cages, go-karts, and arcade. We’re so glad there’s a spot in our city that offers this kind of classic summer fun. Take your family, take a date, find a group friends, but make your way over for a round of mini-golf!
Long Island Slushy- You read that right. The Foxes Trail, located right downtown Kokomo, serves this cocktail and it might be perfect. It’s boozy, it’s cold, it’s everything we want after a hot day in the sun. What’s not to love about a long island? What’s not to love about a slushy? They’ve combined the two and now we have what may be the best summer drink in Kokomo! Perfect for an evening on their patio in our favorite city.
