Kokomo’s summer soundtrack is heating up with another incredible night of live music! The Kokomo Summer Concert Series is bringing Holler in the Heartland to Foster Park, and trust me—you don’t want to miss it.
Presented by the City of Kokomo, this series is all about bringing top-tier national and regional talent right to our backyard. It’s free, family-friendly, and packed with great music, local eats, and an unbeatable community vibe.
The Lineup
Headlining the night is the one and only John R. Miller, a West Virginia-born singer-songwriter whose music is a soulful blend of country, blues, and folk-rock. If you haven’t heard him yet, think raw honesty, heartfelt storytelling, and the kind of lyrics that stick with you long after the song ends. He’s shared the stage with Tyler Childers and even played the Grand Ole Opry, so you know you’re in for something special.
Also hitting the stage is Buffalo Wabs & The Price Hill Hustle, a high-energy Americana/folk band out of Cincinnati. They bring a little old-school, a little new-school, and a whole lot of passion. Drawing inspiration from legends like John Prine and Woody Guthrie, they know how to get a crowd moving.
Rounding out the night is Darrin Hacquard, whose sound is as diverse as it is captivating. Picture a mix of old-time storytelling, psychedelic rock, country, and spaghetti western vibes all wrapped up into one performance. His songs have been described as “funny, tortured, melancholy, and joyous” all at once—so expect to feel all the feels.

What You Need to Know
The show kicks off at 5 p.m. at the Kokomo Performing Arts Pavilion in Foster Park. While there will be some bleacher seating available, the best way to enjoy the evening is by bringing a lawn chair and a blanket.
Concert organizer Kyle Gibson, who also owns The Coterie, is beyond excited to bring this experience to Kokomo.
“My goal is to introduce Kokomo to fresh new sounds while celebrating the artists and styles they already love,” Gibson shared. “I hope this year we can welcome a slew of first-time visitors to our vibrant downtown and make the locals proud of the city they call home.”
