Grilled Cheese from Half Moon Restaurant and Brewery

Our kids usually go for chicken nuggets or strips when we visit a restaurant with a kids’ menu, but this time they ordered grilled cheese when we dined at Half Moon. It was toasted and served with a side choice and a cookie. We’ve always thought Half Moon offers a pretty valuable kids’ meal with a variety of options, including ribs and chopped steak for little foodies. Bowling at Heritage Lanes

Our family has been wanting to go bowling, as it’s been a while since our last visit. We always have a good time at the bowling center, but now that our kids are older, it’s much easier. They’re improving at taking turns and can bowl without help. Heritage Lanes offers open bowling, where players can enjoy unlimited frames within a time limit, and shoe rental is included in the cost. Carver Community Center Youth Basketball League

Youth basketball registration is open at the Carver Community Center, welcoming boys and girls in grades K-12 for individual or team sign-ups. This program, focused on fostering teamwork, identity, and belonging, offers kids a supportive and engaging experience led by dedicated volunteers. Registration closes on Nov. 22.
