Zaika Indian Cuisine Set to Open March 14

After a two-year absence of Indian Cuisine in Kokomo, the tantalizing aromas of Indian spices are once again wafting through the streets of South Plate Street, and you’re invited to get in on the experience.

Restaurant hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. The first day to be open to the public will be Thursday, March 14. (Closed every day between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m.)

Zaika Indian Cuisine is now open in the former location of Lucky Indian Cuisine with new owners and a new menu that they say will fit the tastebuds of a wide variety of its guests.

The hopes of a return of an Indian eatery in Kokomo has been the talk of the town and while the cuisine you’ve been yearning for is making a comeback, guests can expect some surprises on the menu for those who aren’t sure about giving Indian food a try.

While the menu includes traditional favorites such as Samosas, Masala and Curries, it also features some more approachable items like Curry Pizza, Chicken Tikka Taco and Butter Chicken Pasta.

“I’m excited to open up Zaika to Kokomo and I’m going to give it my best shot,” said restaurant owner Mani Singh.
