The Kokomo Post Kids: Weekly Fun Calendar


It’s easy to say that Kokomo is so boring when you don’t know what’s going on in town. Even our kids love telling us how dull life can get when your days all look the same. We’re here with a new weekly fun calendar, hoping to encourage you and your family to try something new and experience more of what Kokomo has to offer. Take a look and tell them we sent you!


  • Monday, Nov. 27, 2023

    • Open Bowling at Heritage Lanes
      1301 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, IN 46902 | (765) 453-7781

      Make Monday a funday and call Heritage lanes to check for open bowling availability. They have open bowling from 4-10 p.m. Mondays and a group of five can bowl for an hour for $40 (that includes those fancy bowling shoes). Bowling is an easy and fun activity for the whole family and you can grab some grub at Roddy’s while you’re there. Check out their website and Facebook page for last minute updates.

    • Dino Story Time at KHCPL South | 5- 5:45 p.m.
      1755 East Center Road, Kokomo, IN 46902

      The Dinosaur discoveries of Dinovember continue at KHCPL this month with a special Dino Story Time recommended for children ages 3-5. Join the library staff for an evening of stories, music, and even a special craft. This would be a great time to sign up for a library card if you don’t already have one!     • Christmas at the Seiberling Mansion | 1-4 p.m.
      1200 W Sycamore St., Kokomo, IN 46901

      Start a new family tradition in support of the Howard County Historical Society by touring the beautiful Seiberling Mansion while its decorated for Christmas. Tickets are available online or at the door for $10 for adults, $5 for students, and children under the age of 5 are free. Visit their website for more information on sponsored nights, and candlelight night (Dec. 16).

    • Attend Kokomo High School’s Production of “Singin’ in the Rain Jr.”
      7 PM (Doors open at 6:30 p.m.) | Tickets are available at the door

      Join the KHS Musical Theater Class as they present the beloved musical “Singing in the Rain Jr.” with the community on Thursday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 2. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10 for adults, $8 for students, and Free for children ages 4 and under. Check the Kokomo High School Facebook page and event for more information.

    • Go Ice Skating at The Frozen Sandlot at Kokomo Municipal Stadium | 5- 10 p.m.

      Fun for the whole family!

      As the temperatures drop and fall turns to winter we can get excited to practice some of our favorite holiday traditions like going Ice Skating. Now in its 6th year, the Frozen Sandlot is made possible by the partnership between Bridges Outreach and the City of Kokomo. Thanks to the City of Kokomo, all of the proceeds will benefit Bridges Outreach and youth in our community.     • Watch the Kokomo Downtown Christmas Parade | 6 p.m.

      Kick off the beginning of the Christmas Season in Kokomo by attending the lighted Christmas Parade in downtown. This can be an annual family tradition! Once you stake out your spots to sit on the parade route there are many pre-parade activities beginning as early as 4:30 p.m. You and your family can enjoy Christmas carolers, getting to meet a real reindeer, food and craft vendors, train rides, and the lighting of a Christmas Tree downtown at 6:20 just before the parade begins. Be sure to bundle up and bring a bag for all of the goodies you’ll get during the parade.

  • Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023

    • Lights in the Air Park at Grissom Air Museum | 4:30- 9 p.m.
      1002 W. Hoosier Blvd., Peru, IN 46970

      Visit the Grissom Air Museum in its special glow for the holiday season. The indoor museum will be open and you can view the outdoor light display in the airpark. Tickets are $9 for Adults and $8 for Children (age 6-11) all children under 5 are free. There will be a special take home craft for children as well. This will be a new and fun experience for the whole family. If you miss it this week, the event continues each Thursday-Sunday in December (with the exception of being closed 12/24 and 12/25).
