Did you know Matinee shows before 4 p.m. at our AMC Kokomo are 25% off the regular ticket prices? You can save a little money while having some fun! The adults can enjoy their choice of movies this week but some options for families include IF (Imaginary Friend), Kung Fu Panda, and Unsung Hero for our PG viewers and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, The Fall Guy, and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire for our PG-13 audience. Fun for the Whole Family
The Kirkendall Nature Center is currently operating on its summer schedule with open hours Tuesday through Sunday. The nature center is home to many Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department (KPRD) activities including Creature Features throughout the summer months. If you’ve never visited the nature center, it is a great place to learn more about local wildlife species, plants and insects. In addition to the preserved and live animals, the nature center has games, books and other hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Our local Kokomo McDonald’s hosts its Family McFun nights every Thursday. Different activities and supplies are provided for families to enjoy and meal together with some extra fun. Common activities include games, art, and special activities for the holidays. Each location may offer a different activity alongside dinner and family fun.

Swim and Play at Kokomo Beach | Open Daily through July 28

Summertime in Kokomo means that Kokomo Beach is open! Kokomo Beach is now open daily through July 28 and we are ready for some fun. You can purchase a season pass or just drop in for the day, but we know you are excited about swimming, the splash pad, the lazy river and of course the water slides (48” height requirement). Keep your eyes out for special events at Kokomo Beach including swimming lessons, water walking (ages 18+ only) and more. BC’s Indiana Double at Kokomo Speedway | Racing begins at 7:30 p.m.

The month of May is all about racing in Indiana! We’re so lucky to have a showcase of Sprint Cars, Modifieds, and Thunder Cars in Kokomo at the Kokomo Speedway to finish off the month. If you’re a race fan or you have little ones who like things that go fast, you’ll want to check this out. General Admission tickets are $20 and Kids age 12 and under are free. The Grandstand will open at 4 p.m. with hot laps starting at 6:30 p.m. and the races officially beginning at 7:30 p.m. You can find more information on the Kokomo Speedway website.
