It’s easy to say that Kokomo is so boring when you don’t know what’s going on in town. Even our kids love telling us how dull life can get when your days all look the same. We’re here with a new weekly fun calendar, hoping to encourage you and your family to try something new and experience more of what Kokomo has to offer. Here’s something you can do with your kids every day this week! Take a look and tell them we sent you!

Recommended for ages 2-5
Children and their adult caregivers can learn and play through a series of activities and hands-on skill centers at KHCPL Russiaville. Monday Fun Day activities allow for children to develop Kindergarten Readiness skills and explore while learning literacy, math, and science. You can visit for a short while or stay and play as long as you’d like. You can view all of the events happening at our libraries by visiting their website and clicking on the “events” tab.

Fun for the Whole Family
The Kirkendall Nature Center is currently operating on their winter schedule with open hours on Tuesday and Thursday during the week and on Saturday and Sunday. The nature center is home to many Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department (KPRD) activities including creature features throughout the summer months. If you’ve never visited the nature center, it is a great place to learn more about local wildlife species, plants, and insects. In addition to the preserved and live animals, the nature center has games, books, and other hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Fun for all ages
Share the nostalgia of playing at the arcade with your family this week. Scanlines Arcade has a new location just off of Dixon Road and is open from 3-10 p.m. on Wednesdays for a ton of fun. On Wednesdays, pinball games are set to only $0.50 per game! They have many pinball games, but also some classic and new arcade games made to test your skills. Be sure to check their Facebook page for any last-minute updates or announcements.

Join the staff at KHCPL South for a kids yoga class to continue the Countdown to Darkness event series leading us to the next total solar eclipse that will be visible in our area. The event page on the KHCPL Website shares many details on the yoga class and what it entails, but also what you should bring with you that day. You should also consider arriving early to settle in with the group. Sunshine Salutations will leave your child feeling refreshed, inspired, and ready to shine!

This is a NEW workshop where artists ages 3 and up are welcome to express themselves by decorating a beautiful piece of pottery at Fired Arts Studio with a parent or guardian. The workshop will begin with a story read aloud and then transitions to a fun themed project related to the story. A reservation is required because seating is limited. Depending on interest and participation this new workshop series will be offered twice a month in the coming months. You can find more details about this workshop and more on their website.

Fun for the whole family
Check out Gravity Trampoline Park with your family this Saturday. During the 10- 11 a.m. hour is Toddler Time where ages 6 and under (and their caretaker) can jump for $8 per hour. This special time allows for the little jumpers to have the whole park to themselves with softer kid-friendly music. From 11 a.m.- 8 p.m. is open jump time for all ages for $15 per hour. Saturday Hours end with a special after-dark session for all ages from 8-10 p.m.. Gravity Trampoline Park is a great way to enjoy your day with food, music, and fun. Don’t forget your gravity grip socks!

Make Sunday a Funday and call Heritage lanes to check for open bowling availability. They have open bowling from 1 PM-8 PM on Sundays and a group of five can bowl for an hour for $35 (that includes those fancy bowling shoes). Bowling is an easy and fun activity for the whole family and you can grab some grub at Roddy’s while you’re there. Check out their website and Facebook page for last-minute updates.
