It’s easy to say that Kokomo is so boring when you don’t know what’s going on in town. Even our kids love telling us how dull life can get when your days all look the same. We’re here with a new weekly fun calendar, hoping to encourage you and your family to try something new and experience more of what Kokomo has to offer. Here’s something you can do with your kids every day this week! Take a look and tell them we sent you!


  • Monday, Jan. 13, 2024

    • Open Play at the Very Early Childhood Education Center
      1608 Kirk Row, Kokomo, IN 46902 | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
      Recommended for children ages 0-5  for kindergarten readiness

      The Very Early Childhood Education Center, the ultimate play space for preschoolers, offers open play hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week. With each visit, children receive a free book and age-appropriate learning activity. This free, public resource center provides many opportunities for play and learning. The play space includes toys, structures that inspire imaginative play, and hands-on learning activities that encourage building and engineering.     • Youth Yoga at the Jeff Stout Community Center

      Recommended for youth ages 6-13

      Help your kids discover yoga with the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library’s Youth Yoga at the Jeff Stout Community Center. Youth will be guided through the 12 steps of the iconic Sun Salutation yoga series. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle.   • Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025

    • Osmos in the Discovery Center at Kokomo-Howard County Public Library Main Branch

      Recommended ages 8-13

      The Discovery Center at KHCPL Main offers kids ages 8-13 a fun after-school activity and a chance to make friends while exploring STEM-related projects. This week, youth will have the opportunity to play Osmo games. The Discovery Center is open weekly and rotates through different activities. If you miss out this week, be sure to check out the events tab on the KHCPL website and look for the orange and blue lightbulb.

    • Art Classes at the Carver Community Center

      Every Thursday, Rhonda Eads hosts youth art classes in two sessions. Youth in grade 3-8 meet from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and high school age youth meet from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. A membership with the Carver Community Center is the best value to participate in programs like art classes, but without a membership the classes cost $10 per week or $25 per month.     • Ninja Warrior Night at Kokomo Flipsters | 4:30 or 5:30 p.m.

      For youth ages 4-12

      The first three Friday nights of each month (provided it's not a holiday weekend), youth are welcome to register for the American Ninja Warrior Night camps for just $15 per ninja. Two classes are offered, starting at 4:30 or 5:30 p.m., both lasting 55 minutes. Ninjas will train on the special ninja course located inside the Flipsters gym and practice martial arts, tumbling, and more.     • Mommy & Me Class Pilates at Pilato Kokomo

      Bring your little one with you to Pilates and ease your way back into fitness as a mom. Mommy & Me  Pilates is a fun, bonding workout designed for new moms and their babies. The class includes a combination of Pilates exercises and gentle movements you can do with your baby either in your arms or on a mat beside you.       Fun for the Whole Family

      In Kokomo, families can now enjoy this classic activity at Ralphy’s Pizza and Indoor Golf Simulators, located in Maplecrest Plaza. Alongside three indoor sports simulators, the restaurant now features four lanes dedicated to duckpin bowling. Duckpin bowling is a variation of ten-pin bowling that uses a grapefruit-sized ball and shorter pins. Kids will enjoy Mad Games programs like Monster Factory, while families can create lasting memories bowling together in this engaging atmosphere. To reserve a lane, contact Ralphy’s by phone.
