Our friends at the Kokomo-Howard County Public Libraries are trying to help us all beat the winter blues with a series of special winter programs. This week the Winter Blues Busters bring us a special opportunity for youth to play video games together. The Kirkendall Nature Center is operating on its winter schedule with open hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The nature center is home to many Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department (KPRD) programs and activities, including creature features throughout the year. If you’ve never visited, it’s a great place to learn more about local wildlife species, plants, and insects. In addition to preserved and live animals, the nature center has games, books, and other hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy.
