Kokomo Summer Series: Family Night
Hey Kokomo! From time to time, we’ll be bringing you our ideas for a fun date night, or a fun family night, or a night out with friends. You have our Kokomo Post honor that we’re not going to recommend anything to you that we ourselves haven’t experienced and enjoyed.
Today we’re sharing about a fun family night we had recently. We decided to rent bikes from Koko-Go, our city’s free bike share. The the rental location to check out the bikes is right downtown near the Foxes Trail and the downtown dog park. You sign a waiver, and leave debit card information (to cover any damages) and then you’re good to go. There are options too! There are three-wheelers for adults and two different options if your kids are riding with you. We followed the Industrial Heritage trail south, and we were surprised to see all of the murals along the way. They’re beautiful! Each intersection was easy and safe to cross, especially since the construction at Main and Markland has been completed.
Once we finished our bike ride, we had worked up an appetite. So, we walked over to dinner at the Foxes Trail. They have a large menu featuring everything from salads, to steaks, to sandwiches. My husband and I shared the coconut shrimp and the Italian roast beef sandwich, everything was delicious!
So what do you think, Kokomo? What’s your favorite way to spend a family night in Kokomo?
