Summer is officially here. What better way to celebrate than Kokomo’s beloved Strawberry Festival, live music, family events and so much more! Find the details below.


24th Annual Strawberry Festival

Back and bigger than ever before, The Strawberry Festival is returning to downtown Kokomo for its 24th year!

Festival-goers are invited to the heart of downtown to kick off summer with this beloved annual event.

With tons of family-friendly events, an art market, food trucks, live music, and so much more, you can’t miss this year’s Strawberry Fest!

When: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, June 3
Where:
Downtown Kokomo
Cost:
$6 a person for the strawberry shortcake - admission to the festival is free


Strawberry Festival Dunk Tank Fundraiser

Get your throwing arm ready! This is your opportunity to dunk some local celebrities for a good cause! All proceeds from the dunk tank will go to Project Access.

When: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, June 3
Where:
Downtown Kokomo
Cost: $1-1 ball
$5-6 balls
$10 push the target
$20 push the target with ice in the tank


Summer Reading Program Kick-off Party

The Kokomo Howard County Public Library is hosting a kick-off event this Friday to celebrate an upcoming summer full of fun! At this family-friendly event, you’ll get to enjoy activities and crafts, and win some awesome prizes. The first 1,000 people to sign up for the summer reading program will receive a tote bag with an autographed copy of the book “Starfish,” by Kokomo’s own Lisa Fipps.

Live music at Kokomo Alehouse

If you’re a fan of the classics, you aren’t going to want to miss Four on the Floor live at The Kokomo Alehouse. They are bringing all your favorite country and rock hits to the stage this weekend for this 21 and older event, so text your friends and enjoy an entertaining evening in Kokomo.

When: 8 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 3

Paws to Read Kokomo Howard County Public Library

On Saturday, students are invited to work on their reading skills with some trained furry friends! These dogs and cats are easy-going, good listeners, and make reading fun! You can hang out with them from 11 a.m. to noon.

Jojo Stella Live at The Coterie

Get ready to get funky this weekend at The Coterie! Jojo Stella, an Ohio-based quartet, is bringing their high energy and soul to one of our favorite downtown cocktail bars. Come for the craft cocktails and stay for the good vibes.
