Open Mic Poetry Night

The Kokomo Howard County Public Library is inviting you to share your poetry on the outdoor Firefly Stage or just attend and hear from other local poets during this open mic night.

Bring a chair or blanket to sit on and enjoy hearing from local artists and poets in the community.

Mardi Gras Masquerade

Kokomo Urban Outreach is hosting a Mardi Gras Masquerade featuring dinner, live music and more to raise money for the local organization that focuses on children ages 3 to 18 and preparing them with life skills to thrive as adults. Guests can dress up, and participate in a silent basket auction and a mask contest and enjoy music from the United States Blues Band. Kokomo Shifters’ 20th Annual Car Show

Car enthusiasts are invited to the 20th Annual Car Show this Saturday in Highland Park!

All makes and models of cars, trucks, and motorcycles are welcome with registration from 9 a.m. to noon.

At 3 p.m., awards will be handed out, including the Top 30 vehicles and six specialty awards such as Shifter’s Choice, People’s Choice, Lady's Choice, Youngest Driver, Best Unfinished, and Longest Distance. The day will also feature a kids' coloring contest, live music, food and a 50/50 raffle.

Bring the family and enjoy a day in the park filled with cars, entertainment, and fun for all!

Relay for Life Carnival

This Saturday, Foster Park will be transformed into a Carnival of Colors to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., offering a full day of games, entertainment, family fun and more.

Attendees can enjoy bounce houses, a variety of games, food, and live entertainment throughout the day. As the sun sets, a special luminary ceremony will take place to honor and remember those impacted by cancer.
