It’s Valentine’s Day weekend! You don’t have to be in a relationship to check out these events happening around Kokomo; you just have to like chocolate and wine.
Valentine’s Day Events at Blackhawk Winery
There are two awesome events happening at 2 p.m. Saturday at Blackhawk Winery, located at 28153 Ditch Road, in Sheridan! It might be Valentine’s Day weekend, but it’s also Girl Scout cookie season! Get the best of both worlds by attending Girl Scout Cookies & Wine Flights. You’ll thank me later.
The team at Blackhawk and did the hard, hard work of putting together pairings of wine and delicious Girl Scout cookies. Each flight has four wines with a 2-ounce pour (or 1 ounce of dessert wine) and two cookies.
Flights are available for $15, but you’ll save yourself $3 if you reserve your flight in advance. Also, Troop 2499 will be there to sell you a box of cookies — or six. We don’t tell.
Also happening at 2 p.m. is Sip & Sign with your Valentine! Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and bring your imagination for an afternoon of crafts! There are several DIY projects to choose from or let the employees at Blackhawk help you make your own.

Galantine's Brunch & Painting at The Palette Room
For an event a little closer to home, grab your girlfriends and enjoy a Galentine’s Day Brunch and Painting at The Palette Room! The Palette Room is located at Solstice Art Gallery at 210 N. Main St. right here in Kokomo.
Starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, get your paint brushes and let the professionals guide you through your own Lotus flower painting. Enjoy brunch, and don’t forget to bring your own wine to make it the true wine and canvas painting experience!
