The bad news - Summer break is halfway over! The good news - there are some awesome summer activities and events happening this weekend to wrap up the month of June! Check them out below.
Kokomo Bobkats Games
You have two opportunities this weekend to watch the Bobkat’s play at home before they start their playoff season! The Bobkat’s are number one in the midwest with 17 wins and only 5 losses in their debut season. You aren’t going to want to miss these games on Friday at 7:05 and on Sunday at 3:05 at Memorial Gym in downtown Kokomo!
Creature Feature: Scheumann Mobile Farm & Petting Zoo
Head over to Kirkendall Nature Center in Jackson Morrow Park for the second Creature Feature of the season! The Scheumann Mobile Farm will be bringing animals such as pigs, goats, sheep, and chickens for you to meet and interact with. This is a free event, children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Gingerbeard Man | Open Jam Session
Musicians, this is your chance to join a jam session with the very talented Gingerbeard Man at The Coterie! The night will start off with a live performance and then you’ll get the chance to get on stage and show off! There will be a $5 cover and the show will start at 10 pm on Saturday night so grab your instruments and head downtown!
HOGfest featuring Max Weinberg’s Jukebox
Famous drummer and musician Max Weinberg is in town and will be jamming out at the stage located downtown at Foster Park! You may know him from being a 45-year veteran of Bruce Springsteen and The E Street band as well as anchoring the house band for “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” for 17 years! This is a free concert that begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, so mark your calendar!
Annmarie’s Boutique Grand Opening
Help welcome Annmarie’s Boutique to downtown Kokomo by visiting their grand opening event this Saturday! There will be gifts and prizes all day long as well as amazing clothes and accessories for summer. They are located at 219 N. Main Street and they will be open from 10-4 p.m.! Go check them out!
