Hey, Kokomo! Welcome to our Kokomo Post Picks of the week where our staffers and interns pick the things they’re enjoying from all around our favorite city! In no particular order:

Panang Curry from Jay’s Thai

Our first pick this week is an office favorite - it is hard to describe, but I’ll try my best. It’s chicken, bell pepper, lime leaves, and chicken cooked in Thai curry sauce.

It’s lime-y, herb-y, coconut-y, and it’s absolutely delicious. It’s served over rice and it’s one of the best lunch dishes in Kokomo. If you’re stuck in your chicken pad thai or pineapple fried rice rut at Jay’s it’s time to try something new. This is it.

Pickle Pizza from Oscar’s

It’s no secret that we love Oscar’s pizza around here. If you’ve tasted any of their pies, you know why. One of their recent specials became an instant addition to our Picks.
It’s pickle pizza. Ahh… the things dreams are made of. Oscar’s perfect pizza crust with a schmear of garlic butter, mozzarella cheese, dill pickles and black pepper. Absolute fire.

Fried chicken waffle tacos from Hacienda

We tried these for an episode of The Kokomo Post Mini Tries, and they did not disappoint! When faced with the choice of sweet or spicy, we chose both.
The sweet taco is chicken tenders, bacon, a sweet jelly, and maple syrup. The spicy taco is a spicy chicken tender, pickle slaw, ranch dressing and pickled jalapeño slices.
My personal pick? The spicy taco.
These tacos are a fun twist on a traditional taco and definitely worth the try!

What do you think Kokomo? We want to hear your picks of the week!
