The Kokomo Post Sports - Game of the Week: The Kokomo Speedway: Sprint Cars, UMP Modified and Thunder Cars (Photo Gallery)
This week’s Kokomo Post Sports Game of the Week, partnered with Robert Miller & Son Furniture, took us to the Kokomo Speedway to see the Sprint Cars, UMP Modifieds, and the Thunder Cars take to the dirt course.
After picking up some earplugs, we headed out to see the roaring Sprint Cars make their initial rounds in the dirt oval. With flying dirt, cheering fans, and an amazing firework display there was plenty of moments to photograph.
Robert Ballou picked up another Sprint Car win in the Vince Osman Sprintacular. Bradley Jameson grabbed his first win in the Modified series. Lastly, Sheldon Oberle picked up another Thunder Car win in the Dave Crow Memorial.
It was a very exciting match up with all the drivers battling back and forth, slinging dirt and dust into the stands, and we hope to come back out to future Kokomo Speedway races!
