The Kokomo Post Sports - Boys and Girls Varsity Swimming - Eastern Comets vs. Northwestern Tigers (Photo Gallery)
We took a trip, on Thursday night, to Eastern High School to see the Eastern Comets take on Northwestern Tigers in swimming. Although a snowy evening it didn’t slow down either of the teams. Both teams made great efforts in various events throughout the night. In the Girls 50 Yard Free the Comets managed to secure 3 of the top 4 spots with Ava Kantz winning the event with a time of 25.56 4 seconds ahead of second place. The Comets boys managed to pick up first and second place in the 1 Meter Diving event with Amos Green taking first with a score of 139.75 . The Tigers also had some great events like the boys Boys 100 Yard Free where they also took the 3 of the top 4 placements. Sam Martin led this group with a time of 51.50 just 4 tenths of a second faster then Grant Kerns who had a time of 51.94 . The Tigers also took the top two positions for the Girls 100 Yard Back. Morgan Binnion took first, 8 seconds ahead of second place, with a time of 1:12.63.
