The Kokomo Post Sports - Game of the Week: Kokomo Jackrabbits vs. Royal Oak Leprechauns (Photo Gallery)
This week’s Kokomo Post Sports Game of the Week, partnered with Robert Miller & Son Furniture, took us to Kokomo Municipal Stadium to see the Kokomo Jackrabbits take on the Royal Oak Leprechauns. Coming out steady, the Jackrabbits maintained the lead 3-0 until the eighth inning. The Leprechauns were able to pick up two runs putting the score 3-2, with the Jackrabbits still up a run. Going into the ninth, as the temperature dropped and everyone was ready to take the win and get out, the Leprechauns completed the nearly impossible task of scoring 8 runs in the one inning. The steady game had completely flipped on its head. The Jackrabbits tried to respond in the bottom of the ninth, but inevitably, the Leprechauns took home the win.
