Hey Kokomo! Welcome to our Kokomo Post Picks of the week where our staffers and interns pick the things they’re enjoying from all around our favorite city! In no particular order:
Louie’s Coney Island
We have to know are you team Coney dog or team Bake? Full disclosure - I haven’t tried a Bake yet. I know, I know, I can’t call myself a true Kokomo-an yet until I do. So for now I’m team Coney.
Louie’s Coney Island is a Kokomo staple. They have a simple menu, casual environment, and you can tell by their busy lunch time drive through line that they’re beloved by Kokomo. We love their Coney dog - it’s messy and delicious, as it should be! And it’s our final pick of the week.

Tokyo Cuisine
Tokyo Cuisine is a Japanese restaurant on the Northwest side of town. They’re located at Dixon and Sycamore and honestly, they’re one of Kokomo’s best kept secrets. Their bento boxes, sushi, noodle and hibachi dishes are all incredible. Have you ever heard anyone say they have to drive to Indy or Fort Wayne for good sushi? Not true.
It’s right here in Kokomo and it’s amazing.
