Well-Known Mexican Restaurant Relocates - Now Open Under New Name

One of Kokomo’s favorite Mexican restaurants is getting a new home and a new name this week.

Earlier this month, Don Pancho’s Mexican Bar & Grill announced its relocation to 1527 Home Ave., Kokomo, the former location of Home Plate Bar & Grill. After roughly two weeks, the restaurant is now open and welcoming guests into the new space — with a new name.

The Jungle Mexican Cantina may feel like a familiar atmosphere to lovers of the former South Plate Street location, but with an elevated brand.

“The new branding signifies a significant step forward for our restaurant. It embodies our vision of delivering a fresh, trendsetting take on authentic Mexican cuisine,” said manager Jacob Macias.

While The Jungle remains true to its roots, the restaurant is giving some modern flare to the menu, with the bar being the epicenter of the evolution, he said.

The menu features handcrafted cocktails, classic Mexican flavors and some contemporary twists, said Macias.

“The future of The Jungle Mexican Cantina promises a vibrant atmosphere that sets us apart from traditional Mexican restaurants,” said Macias. “We invite everyone to embark on this exciting journey with us and savor the extraordinary.”

Hours:

Monday - Friday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday - Noon to 10 p.m.
Sunday - 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
