Sycamore Coffee Bar coming to Kokomo
Hey Kokomo! Downtown Kokomo is about to have a new addition. Sycamore Coffee Bar will be operating in the same space as The Sycamore Social Club on the square in downtown but with much different hours. The coffee bar will be open Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 2:00pm.
Co-owner Kyle Gibson, who has roots in the coffee business, said, “We’re bringing quality, locally sourced coffee with a great workspace. People are free to come in to sit in one of our areas to work, or they can grab their morning coffee and head out." He continued, “I really like our downtown coffee neighbors, but we’re bringing something new.”
That ‘something new’ is the concept behind Sycamore Coffee Bar. The space is for adults 21 and over, because not only will they be serving delicious, traditional espresso drinks, but beers and mixed drinks will be on the menu as well. Gibson co-owns The Coterie and The Sycamore Social Club with business partner Dustin Ogle.
“Our focus will be on traditional espresso drinks, made local. We want people to enjoy it, and we want to give them the best. And, offering a workspace for people from Kokomo to come in and sit down to work, or I can see this being a great place to meet for a business conversation.” Gibson said.
Keep an eye out for Sycamore Coffee Bar to open in early July 2020. There may be more in store too. Stay tuned for possible additions to the coffee bar menu. You may find bagels and baked goods on the menu in the future dates. There’s also been a rumor or two about a pop-up lunches on the patio, featuring the famous Coterie burgers.
