Step into a world where history and elegance converge, as Sts. Joan of Arc and Patrick School invite you to join in an enchanting evening at the first-ever Saints Gala in the heart of historic downtown architecture at The Hobson. From 6 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, you can unveil your best Mardi Gras mask for an eventful night of handcrafted cocktails, dinner and dancing.

“We’re coming into the season of Lent, and that’s a big season to the Catholic church. It’s the time for people to reflect and be generous, and so Mardi Gras is marking the celebration right before we start that season and we wanted to have a big party for everybody,” said PTO president Annie Lussier.

The funds raised from the event will help bring and advance programming offered at the school such as music, sports and STEM.

The school, which has served the community for 150 years, serves children and their families starting at age 3 up to grade 8. Lussier, who has two children at the school, credits the small class sizes and the smaller school community to the legacy Sts. Joan of Arc and Patrick School.

“We have the opportunity to open the school to everyone in the community, not just the Catholic community. So we want to make sure that the things students get at other area schools are also supported at our school,” said Lussier. “Families become friends and they become a community of their own, where their kids all grew up together and the parents stay friends for decades.”

The evening will also feature a Mardi Gras themed meal of étouffée, a dish found in both Cajun and Creole cuisine, and banana bread pudding catered by Rozzi’s.

After the cocktail hour with handcrafted drinks from The Hobson, guests will have the opportunity to get out on the dance floor and participate in bidding on live and silent auction items.

From a Kate Spade purse to a Connor Prairie Balloon Voyage and more, all profits made from items will go back to funding additional programming at the school that currently enrolls close to 275 individual families throughout the Kokomo area.
