Red Velvet Cinnamon Rolls From KJ’s Kitchen
kjkitchen64@gmail.com

You may have heard of her sweet cinnamon rolls and other goodies being sold at our local farmer’s markets, but here’s your excuse to make an order to share with your family. Karen with KJ’s Kitchen has added a little extra love to her original cinnamon rolls and made them festive for Valentine’s Day. Her Red Velvet Cinnamon Rolls are available for pre-order right now, until Feb. 10 and are served in packs of one, four, six or more depending on how hungry your family is. My sons almost finished one each and were completely satisfied as they licked the icing off of their fingers. You know you’ve served a good meal when it’s quiet at the table besides the occasional “mmmm.” You can follow KJ’s Kitchen on Facebook to be the first to know when her next batch of goodies are available to purchase. If you’re looking for some special ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your children check out our local guide to Valentine’s Day with Kokomo Kids.

Kokomo Symphony Youth Programs

(765) 236-0251

In addition to their season of concerts and events, our local Kokomo Symphony Orchestra offers youth programs alongside their professional adult showcases. There is an organized youth orchestra for established musicians and youth strings classes available to join now.
Classes are available to youth in grades 3 or higher who are interested in learning to play violin, viola or cello. There is a beginner class for students with fewer than two years of experience and an intermediate class for students who progress or have  two to four years of experience. Classes are held on Sundays at Grace United Methodist Church. This semester began in January, but new students are welcome to join in with plenty of time to learn and perform at the end of the semester concert in May. The Sound of Music offers a string instrumental rental program where students can rent an instrument beginning at a rate of $30 a month. Scholarships are also available and decided upon by the KSO Board of Directors. For more information, you can visit the KSO website or call (765)236-0251.
