Solar Eclipse Coloring Contest People’s Choice Voting
On April 8, Kokomo experienced a breathtaking celestial event—a total solar eclipse. The skies were painted with unusual colors as the moon gracefully covered the sun and everything temporarily went dark. At The Kokomo Post, we believe in celebrating remarkable moments together, and what better way to commemorate this phenomenon than through art and creativity?
Throughout the month of April, we’ve been on an exciting journey with our community, sharing the excitement of the solar eclipse. From sharing photo galleries of local Solar Eclipse events to providing valuable resources, we've aimed to make the eclipse accessible to all. One of the most engaging aspects of our celebration has been the Solar Eclipse Coloring Contest.
Individuals up to age 12 have participated in our coloring contest. The response has been overwhelming, and it’s clear that the community has enjoyed celebrating the solar eclipse with us.
The Kokomo Post staff had the hard task of selecting what we believe to be the top 10 submissions to move forward to the next phase—the people's choice voting. This is where you come in!
Your votes will determine the winner of the first-place prize: a $50 gift card to Scoops, a well-deserved treat for the winning artist.
Voting is simple. In the comments section below, just indicate the letter corresponding to your favorite artwork. Remember, each person is entitled to only one vote during the people’s voice round. Make your choice count!
Voting will remain open until Tuesday, April 30, so be sure to cast your vote before then. The winner will be announced on May 1st. To all participants, we wish you the best of luck, and to our community, thank you for joining us on this creative journey!
