Duckpin bowling, a casual sport for all ages, is making a comeback. In Kokomo, families can now enjoy this classic activity at Ralphy’s Pizza and Indoor Golf Simulators, located in Maplecrest Plaza at 2941 S. Washington St. Alongside three indoor sports simulators, the restaurant now features four lanes dedicated to duckpin bowling.

Owner Randy Stewart shared his excitement about bringing this new experience to the community and gave us a first look at all the fun.

Duckpin bowling is a variation of the well-known 10-pin bowling sport with a grapefruit sized ball and shorter pins. Stewart said he learned of the rising popularity of duckpin bowling and wanted to bring the experience closer to home.

“After some research, we saw that duckpin bowling was becoming the new pickleball. We visited some options near Indianapolis and wanted to find the best bowling option available. Now we have four lanes,” Stewart said.

Ralphy’s is known for delivering a high-quality experience, featuring TRACKMAN golf simulators for strategic golfers and families or groups seeking local fun. That same standard was upheld when selecting duckpin bowling machines. The QuibcaAMF Fly’n Ducks machines and Bes X Bowler entertainment systems provide customizable bowling experiences and additional games for up to five people per lane.

Stewart said kids will enjoy Mad Games programs like Monster Factory (highlighted in gallery photos), while families can create lasting memories bowling together in this unique and engaging atmosphere.

Stewart is confident that both kids and adults will enjoy duckpin bowling.

“This is going to be great for everyone,” Stewart said. “People will reserve a lane for an hour and then come back asking for more time. There are TVs so you can watch your favorite sports, and there are additional interactive games like Youtoons that take the fun to a new level.”

Like the sports simulators, duckpin bowling lanes can be reserved with a customized party package or by the hour. Ralphy’s has a full menu of pizza, drinks, and appetizers to add to your party. Guests are encouraged to call ahead to book a lane. The addition of a new party room allows large groups to use both the bowling area and simulators.
