New Ice Cream Shop Opens on North Side of Kokomo

The Kokomo Post

Kokomo has just welcomed a new addition to its food scene. The family-owned and operated ice cream shop Wally & Olly’s has opened up on the north end of town, serving up frozen treats and concession-style foods.

The shop offers a wide range of flavors and beloved brands like Glover’s, Deans and Hundleston ice cream. In addition to ice cream, the shop offers a variety of different food options such as pulled pork sandwiches, pretzels, coney dogs, taco salad, nachos and more.

The front of the ice cream shop offers a fun and welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff who are eager to serve the people of Kokomo, especially with the north-enders in mind.

Owners Debbie and Ron Toth are excited to open their second Wally & Olly’s location since experiencing success with their first location in Logansport.

“We felt like the north end needed something special. Sometimes they get left out,” said Toth.

When you visit Wally & Olly you’ll not only be greeted by their giant Betty Boop mascot, you’ll also be greeted by Toth’s kids and grandkids, Toth said.

“It’s important to us to teach our kids and grandkids responsibility, so you’ll notice my family is either working or helping at the shop and they love it,” she said. “We also hope to employ high school students in the summer to offer them the opportunity to learn responsibility in a fun atmosphere.”

Whether you're looking for a sweet treat or a nostalgic snack on a hot summer day, we think this new ice cream shop in Kokomo is definitely worth checking out.

Hours of operation:
