Best Place for a Picnic in Kokomo

Bicentennial Park Arboretum

A quaint and hidden park is located across the street from the Elwood Haynes Museum.  There is a paved walkway throughout the park with benches. A perfect spot to enjoy nature in Kokomo!


Highland Park

Take a step back in time to see the Vermont Covered Bridge that was built in 1875, or just enjoy the nature of the area. There are so make spots to hang out!

Walk of Excellence Riverwalk

This spot doesn’t have a name, but it shouldn’t be missed! Located directly north of The Jackrabbits Stadium and just west of Apperson Way, this spot is a new addition to our downtown trails. With steps leading down to the water, this tucked-away spot is perfect for a date night. *hint-hint* 


Jackson Morrow Park

There are amazing spots all over Jackson Morrow for a picnic, but the pavilions near the playground or sitting under a shaded tree makes for a memorable time!

Along the Creek at Foster Park 

Located along Wildcat Creek in downtown Kokomo, Foster Park is the perfect spot to relax and listen to the water. We especially love the new fountains they’ve installed along The Walk of Excellence Trail!

306 Apartments 

Also located on The Walk of Excellence Trail, this spot is perfect for those who prefer a picnic on a table instead of the grass. This spot has a more modern feel, with still a touch of nature.
