New Children’s Boutique Opens in Kokomo
A new children’s boutique has just opened in Kokomo, offering high-quality clothing with generational value, luxury fabrics, and sizes that grow with your child. Heritage Kingdom, located at 1313 S. Home Ave., Suite B, might be little, but it’s mighty. Filled with products from reputable brands that have a story and a heartbeat, each item is handpicked to make a difference in children’s lives and extend outreach beyond each purchase.
Owner Kayla Sager-Weitzel said the idea to open the shop came because she loved dressing her son in the best fashions.
“I always struggle to find boy clothes, and it’s a mission to keep our boutique balanced for boys and girls,” she said. “I have really leaned into motherhood and love learning everything I can about the ages 0-5 years. I even teach Early Childhood Education at Ivy Tech and always learn something new, even as a professor.”
Sager-Weitzel’s passion for education and her heart for motherhood are evident. During our chat, she shared detailed information about the brands she handpicked for her store, discussing everything from fabric details and certifications to standards and more. It’s clear that her dedication to quality and education shines through at her boutique.
But Heritage Kingdom is more than just a store for adorable, high-quality children’s clothing. Kayla has big future plans.
“We wanted to establish our business under the umbrella of Psalms 127:3: ‘Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him,’” she said. “We uphold this verse through our morals, values, and actions as a business,”
She said she hopes the shop will become a place where a mom can come just to chat or find a little break.
“We want to begin to provide breastfeeding courses, doula and midwife presentations, partner with the local WIC office, and so much more,” she said. “Honestly, the plane is in flight faster than I can build it.”
As a mom, she said, she never wants another mom to feel alone.
“Heritage Kingdom Children’s Boutique will not just be a beautiful boutique but a pillar for the community, where moms can find gear, clothing, accessories, hope, resources, and a place to recharge if needed. We need more places for our moms, and dads are welcome too,” she said.
In addition to clothing, Sager-Weitzel is excited to start carrying FREDDO toys, known for their trendy ride-on electric kids' cars, trucks, and more.
