Kokomo Kids Eat

Corn Dog at the Haynes Apperson Festival
Thursday, June 27 through Saturday, June 29
Foster Park | 721 W Superior St., Kokomo, IN 46901

A highly anticipated Kokomo summer event for foodies, thrill seekers, and music lovers. The annual Haynes Apperson Festival brings the community together to remember our Automotive Heritage and celebrate our nation’s independence. You can learn more about what to expect at the festival here, but we know your kids are going to want to eat all of the food. If you’re unsure on what to share with the family first, grab a corn dog!

The Kokomo-Howard County Public Library has so much to offer during the Summer months. Something we love to see is the extra activities offered by the Bookmobiles and outreach staff.

“[They] are a wonderful way to reach our community. Our goal is to instill the love of reading in all of our patrons no matter the age,” said Joy Record, KHCPL outreach coordinator.

The two mobile libraries have a weekly schedule which includes a special opportunity at Jackson Morrow Park every Tuesday. Library staff lead a story time and craft experience while patrons are welcome to access the Bookmobile and check out items.
