Hey Kokomo! Artist Jules Muck, known professionally as Muck Rock, has invaded Kokomo and left some awesome new art for our community to enjoy. You might recognize some of her work that popped up last year, like the train in front of Oscar’s Pizza, or the wall of inspirational people outside of Kokomo Toys and Collectibles. Jerry Garcia at The Coterie

If you head over to The Coterie, there’s no surprise that you’ll find a tatted-up Jerry Garcia on the wall. For those of you who don’t know, Jerry was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, best known for being a principal songwriter, the lead guitarist and a vocalist with the rock band the Grateful Dead.

Koko-go Free Ride

Located along the Industrial Heritage Trail, behind the cities free bike rental program, Koko-go Free Ride just got a fresh look. Along the trail, leaders of industry are and were once located, giving Muck Rock the perfect opportunity to spice up some concrete pillars once used for the railroad system that once ran through the area.

Private Homes

Muck Rock was also commissioned to create works of art on the garages of homes in Kokomo. Spicing up the alleyways of neighborhoods all over town.

Kokomo seems to be way more cool, accepting, and open-minded than most places! They also love and appreciate the arts so I’m happy to paint there. -Muck Rock

We haven’t included all of the new art from Muck Rock in this blog, because we want you to explore Kokomo and find it for yourself! What is your favorite piece of art from Muck Rock? Let us know in the comments below!
