When she was rocked by the death of her longtime friend and client, Britni Wolfe asked herself how she could help honor the life of Aimee Romero.
Wolfe, a hairstylist at Revive Salon, said Romero was an incredibly loyal friend and a giving person. During quarantine, when many stylists were out of work, Wolfe said Romero not only helped her think through some financing questions — but also paid for a month of her mortgage, just to help.
“She was a unique person and she went above and beyond for every person she came in contact with,” said Wolfe.
Wolfe is selling shirts in Romero’s honor, and all proceeds from the sale of the shirts will go directly to the Romero family.
The teal shirts feature the words “Her fight is my fight” alongside a purple ribbon, representing domestic violence awareness, with the words “Aimee’s Hope” on the sleeve.
“I think that one thing I would like to see even with these shirts is that more people just be a light like she was,” said Wolfe.
Shirts range from $15-22 in youth and adult sizes. The first order will be placed on April 26.
