It’s so easy to miss a registration deadline, and we want to help. Our staff will share updates and details on what youth sports have open registration so your family can join in. Updated January 2024.


Club Kokomo Roadrunners

Youth in grade K-12 interested in walking or running can be a part of Kokomo’s local running community as a member of Club Kokomo Roadrunners. There is an annual membership fee of $5 (January-December) that gives members special benefits including access to a widespread race calendar where members earn points toward age group awards at the end of the year. Registration can be completed can be completed online or by mail. There is no deadline to register but the annual club membership begins Jan. 1 to track annual miles and race points.


Greentown Youth Baseball League (EHGJBL)

Registration for Spring T-Ball, Coaches Pitch, Rookie, Minor, Major, and Babe Ruth leagues is open now until Feb. 3, with try-outs happening on Feb. 17. Registration can be completed online at or in person at the Eastern High School during the specific dates and times below.

Greentown Girls Softball League (GGSL)

Girls ages 6-12 can sign up to play softball with the Greentown Girls Softball League. Registration for Spring Recreational Leagues is open now until Feb. 5, with the season beginning in mid-April. You can contact them directly or check out the GGSL website or Facebook page for more information.

The Howard County Tennis Center located in Greentown, offered private tennis lessons and a variety of clinics for youth of all ages. Clinics are offered in four different seven-week sessions ranging from October through March. You can register now for Session 3 (begins Jan. 28), and Session 4 (begins March 10). Discounts are available with your Howard County Tennis Center membership and by prepaying for sessions or private lessons. They will also pro-rate sessions for those who join in late. Kokomo Flipsters Gymnastics

Kokomo Flipsters offers a variety of programs for all ages. For little ones, they offer a Mommy & Me class for children 18 months-36 months and a Tumble Bear Gym Program for boys and girls ages 18 months- 4 years old. The Rec Gymnastics Program is for youth ages 5 and older. Boys ages 4 and up can join the Ninja Zone program too. Registration for Session 4 will open soon. To join a class, parents will need to download the app: iClassPro. Kokomotion offers training for children as young as 18 months with their Preschool For All program. They offer many class options including tumbling and recreational gymnastics in addition to their competitive team program. Registration is open for the Spring 1 Session (beginning Feb. 26) of Gymnastics at Kokomotion. You can access classes and availability through the parent portal on their website or call 765-453-7461 with any questions.

  • Lil Rebels

    A special non-competitive division for children ages 2-3 will teach the basics of soccer for 8 weeks in a fun environment. Registration is open now for the Spring 2024 until all the spots are filled. You can register online at www.kokomosoccerclub.org or contact one of our board members with any questions.

  • Kokomo Soccer Club

    Registration for Spring Recreational soccer leagues is open now for ages 4-15. There will be a late fee for registrations completed after the Feb. 15 deadline. They are also looking for volunteer coaches! The season will tentatively start April 13 run until June 8. Kokomo United Baseball and Softball League (KUBS)

Registration for KUBS Spring Season is open now for T-Ball, Rookie, Minor, and Major leagues. The season begins in April and goes through the month of June. You can find more information on their Facebook page and website.

KUBS Kokomo offers a Fall Babe Ruth League for youth ages 12-15 that begins in late August and ends in late October. For more details, visit their website.

Girls ages 6-12 can sign up to play softball with the KUBS Softball League. Registration for the Spring season is open now with the season beginning in April. They may offer a Fall season as well. Registration for Fall ball opens up in August (in-person registration) and the season begins in September. For updates, check out their Facebook page or contact them directly for more information.


Northwestern Youth Baseball League

Registration for the spring season is open now for T-Ball, Rookie, Minor, and Major youth baseball league play and closes Feb. 2. The season kicks off in mid-April and you can find details regarding registration and fee on their website or Facebook page.


Playpen Sports Academy

  • Baseball
    Baseball or “Tot Shot Sluggers” is offered for ages 3-5 with Playpen Sports Academy during their Spring, Summer A, and Summer B sessions. Spring registration is open now online with a new Tot Shot Mini-League option for youth ages 4 to 6 years old. The younger Sluggers will play games and activities that introduce throwing, catching, and swinging, while the new Mini-League will incorporate the addition of league-style scrimmage play. The season will begin on April 20 with programs happening on Saturdays at Grace Baptist Church, at 2818 S. Park Road, Kokomo.

  • Soccer

    Tiny Tot (2 years old) and Tot Shot (3-4 years old) soccer teams are currently accepting registration for the Spring season. Players will meet for a 40- to 50-minute class each week, and parents are asked to participate in practices. The registration fee includes a free jersey and all necessary equipment is supplied by Playpen Sports Academy. There is also a new program for youth ages 4-6 years old called the “Tot Shot Mini-League” featuring actual scrimmage play. You have a couple options for online soccer registration, but the season will begin in mid April 2024 and teams will meet at Grace Baptist Church, at 2818 S. Park Road, Kokomo.


Russiaville Youth Baseball League (RYBL)

Taylor Youth Baseball League

Taylor Community School Corporation made the announcement at the beginning of the school year that this new league would host a spring season for youth ages 14 and under. Registration information will be distributed to elementary and middle school students in January. Registration will close on Feb. 17 and the season will officially begin in mid-April. The Kokomo Family YMCA is now offering a new 3-month program packages with flexible choices of experiences. Current offerings include, swimming lessons, sports medley, little dribblers, centipede soccer and youth soccer, volleyball, and more! If this new program package isn’t for you, all of these are also available on a regular basis as well.
