The Kokomo Post Picks of the Week - March 11

Hey, Kokomo! Welcome to our Kokomo Post Picks, where our staffers pick the things they’re enjoying from all around our favorite city! In no particular order:

Gluten-Free Waffle from Lucky Lemon Bakery

This first pick of the week was the perfect way to warm up on a cold morning. I am not vegan, and I don’t necessarily avoid gluten, but this waffle from Lucky Lemon Bakery holds its own against any other waffle in town.
This waffle is just one of many tasty options at this local gem. Stop by Lucky Lemon and try something new!

Apple Cheese Danish from Main Street Cafe

I walked over to Main Street Cafe this week because I saw this pastry on the cafe’s Facebook page and immediately wanted to give it a try. This breakfast treat is served warm and drizzled with caramel. It’s rich, appley, cinnamony, gooey and sweet. Enjoy this with a hot cup of coffee, and your weekend is already off to a great start!

Thai Lettuce Wraps from The Radish Market & Cafe

This final pick of the week is my favorite. The Thai Lettuce Wraps from The Radish Market & Cafe (formerly the Kokomo Farmer’s Market Store) are outstanding. Crispy, crunchy lettuce is filled with seasoned tofu and all sorts of tasty Thai flavors — red cabbage, cilantro, green onion, Sriracha mayo. Please do yourself a favor and try this dish.
Plot twist: these lettuce wraps are vegan, low carb and gluten free.

What do you think Kokomo? We want to hear your picks of the week!
