The Kokomo Post Picks of the Week - Jan. 21
Hey, Kokomo! Welcome to our Kokomo Post Picks of the week where our staffers and interns pick the things they’re enjoying from all around our favorite city! In no particular order:
Hakka Chicken Noodles from Lucky Indian Cuisine
Hakka chicken noodles are sautéed with fresh vegetables, cooked eggs, and chicken. This dish is picky-eater-friendly, so if you’re new to trying Indian food, this may be a great order. And, like most dishes at Lucky, these noodles can be made as mild or as spicy as you like.
Catfish from 17th Street Crab House
Fish and fries are a classic combo. 17th Street Crab House is doing it right with the restaurant’s hand-breaded catfish. It’s light and flaky and simply delicious.
This Kokomo gem is only open Thursday through Sunday so don’t miss your chance to place your order.
Local Cocktail Slushee Mixes from J. Edwards
This final pick is one of our all-time favorite picks. J. Edwards Fine Chocolates ad Gourmet Cakes offers these DIY frozen cocktail mixes — and each one is a nod to a Koko-local icon. No need for ice; no need for a blender. Just mix, freeze and enjoy!
Which one will you choose? Silk Stocking Peach Bellini, Elwood’s Orange Creamsicle, Opalescent Old Fashioned, Big Ben’s Cocoa-tini, Gas Towering Strawberry-Mango Daiquiri, Foster’s Blueberry-Pomegranate in the Park, Green Glass Margarita or Hip Huggin’ Lemon Drop.
What do you think Kokomo? We want to hear your picks of the week!
