When Community First Bank of Indiana decided to partner with the Kokomo Bobkats, they wanted to find a way to turn a winning opportunity into a slam dunk.

In Community First’s new Playmaker Seating, community nonprofits can use up to 40 tickets to any home game to bring staff, volunteers, clients or participants to enjoy a Bobkats game — all at no cost to them.

“It’s been an incredibly hard year, so anything we can do to have them feel seen, we want to do that,” said Lainey Schroer, Community First’s assistant vice president, marketing/communication manager.

She said the Playmaker Seating is named after playmakers in basketball — those who help the whole team perform better and help others score, just like our community nonprofits do, said Schroer.

“That’s what they do for our community,” she said. “They lift each other and help others perform.”

A few local nonprofits have claimed tickets, she said, but the majority of home games are still open. Nonprofits can learn more or arrange tickets by messaging Community First on any of their social media channels.
