December in Kokomo Check List

Hey Kokomo! We’ve officially entered the most wonderful time of the year! What is there not to love about the holiday season? We’ve created this Koko-Christmas checklist so you don’t have to spend any time searching for activities. You can just start checking them off of this list! We’ve highlighted a few favorites below, but our full checklist includes local activities, holiday classics and ways to spread Christmas cheer around the City of Firsts.

The Frozen Sandlot

The first highlight from our checklist is The Frozen Sandlot. Kokomo Municipal Stadium has been transformed into an ice skating rink! This is one of our favorite winter activities in Kokomo. What a joy to have in our community and what’s cooler than ice skating on a baseball field? Click here for more information.

Christmas at the Seiberling

The Seiberling Mansion is a part of Kokomo history and while it’s always beautiful throughout the year, it’s extra beautiful during the holiday season. The mansion stuns in soft white lights and the inside is even more extravagant. You can take an in-person or virtual tour through the mansion and see all of the phenomenal displays throughout the mansion’s 20 rooms! Click here for more information.

Carriage Rides at Highland Park

Picture this: the snow is gently falling, you’re cuddled up with your loved one in a private horse-drawn carriage with a blanket and a warm mug of cocoa. Sounds magical? We are lucky to have this experience right here in Kokomo! Click here for more information.

Drive to see Christmas lights

The last highlight on the Koko-Christmas checklist is the classic drive to see lights! Although We Care Park is no more, you can still find many of the iconic displays around our city.
Our recommendation? Bundle up the family in Christmas pajamas, pack some Christmas cookies and drive around town to see the light displays. We’re loving the City of Lights display at Highland Park and the Howard County 4-H Fairgrounds in Greentown.

There are so many fun activities to participate in during the holiday season right here in Kokomo! These are just a few favorites. Did we miss any of your traditions? Let us know if we did so we can add them to our list and let us know which of these activities you plan to check out of your Koko-Christmas check list this year!
