Top 5 Kokomo Themed Halloween Costumes

Hey Kokomo! It’s that time of year. It’s starting to get a little chilly in the morning. The leaves are starting to change colors to beautiful reds, yellows and oranges. And in my mind that can only mean one thing. It’s almost Halloween time! My family and I visited Target this weekend and of course we had to stop by the Halloween section to see what kind of costumes were popular this year. I was highly disappointed to see there were no Kokomo themed costumes. So, in defiance of the selection, here is my list of the top 5 Kokomo themed Halloween costumes that you can do this year.

Kokomo Jackrabbit Player

As you probably know, the Jackrabbits’ season was canceled this Summer due to the pandemic, and I don’t know about you, but I have been dying to see some Jackrabbits baseball! Help make my dream come true by dressing up as Kokomo Jackrabbit for Halloween this year. Grab your Jackrabbits gear and make this Halloween a home run!

Old Ben

This one is for the true Kokomo history lovers out there. Is there anything more Kokomo than that giant stuffed steer sitting in the middle of one of our largest parks? The answer is no. Old Ben is massive, so this might be a situation where you can grab a few friends and one person is in charge of the rear, the middle and then the head. I guarantee you that you will turn heads with this costume. Guaranteed.

KokomoMantis

We can’t forget our downtown insect friend. Did you know that praying mantises were thought to have supernatural powers by Ancient Greece? That has to be why Scott Pitcher decided to build a giant statue smack in the middle of downtown, right? Anyway, this is one of those multi-use costume ideas. It could either be awesome or terrifying.

Road Problems

Voted the hottest topic for over 12 years in a row, this costume idea is guaranteed to be the talk of any Halloween party. The great thing about this costume idea is that you’ve got options. You can be a pothole, bumpout, roundabout or just about anything else road related and the citizens of Kokomo will be able to relate and understand where you’re coming from. Actually, this pick is good for literally any city in the whole USA that deals with Winter! You’re welcome.

Tyler Moore Cheerleader Costume

Ladies and gentlemen , we’ve saved the best for last. Were you aware that our fearless leader, Mayor Tyler Moore, was once a cheerleader for Notre Dame!? That’s right! Now he is the biggest cheerleader for the City Of Firsts! Give me a K-O-K-O-M-O!

So instead of those boring Target aisle costumes this year, make it Kokomo themed!  What are you dressing up as this year, Kokomo?
