First Look at The New Location of the Very Early Childhood Education Center
In its long-anticipated return, our staff was able to get a sneak peek at the new location of The Very Early Childhood Education Center.
We had the chance to talk with the executive director Stacie Gollner and her staff about new opportunities available at the center and what this program does for the community. Check out some photos and learn more below.
The Very Early Childhood Education Center has a new location inside of Faith Presbyterian Church at 1608 Kirk Row, Kokomo (door three) and has a mission of giving children and their parents/guardians a fun and educational space to play right here in Kokomo.
This local nonprofit works with children and families to focus on kindergarten readiness with programs including Kindermusik, story time, imaginative play, educational activities, free books and more.
A small outdoor area is now available at the new location and with two local trolley stops nearby, the center is accessible to everyone in the community.
“We are so excited about the opportunities we have with a small outdoor space. Families can stay longer and eat lunch and we can host activities outside as well,” said Gollner.
As a part of their mission, every guest (age 6 or below) has the opportunity to sign up to receive a monthly book bag that contains a new book and an age-appropriate craft or science activity. You can sign up in person at the center or by emailing stacieecec@gmail.com.
During the grand opening week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 20, 21, and 23 the center will host a few special events to celebrate and welcome children and families to come, learn and play.
There will be a bubble station and light refreshments on Monday, May 20 and a visit from the library and Wrangler & Friends from 3 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 23.

For the safety of families playing inside, the door will be locked.
To enter you may ring the doorbell to be welcomed by a staff member or volunteer.
As you enter you’ll want to sign in and choose which room to play in first.
Each guest may have one snack and take home a free book provided by the Very Early Childhood Education Center.
