Kokomo Kids Eat

Kid’s Cheese Pizza from Zaika Indian Cuisine
1900 S. Plate St., Kokomo, IN 46902 | (765) 450-7115

This new local restaurant has a lot to offer when it comes to taste. Even the pickiest little eaters will love their new addition to the menu and kids menu, cheese pizza. It’s a classic flatbread pizza sprinkled with delicious cheese, but with a simple twist in the taste of the sauce. When your family tries the pizza, they will be ready to explore the rest of the menu because it’s all so delicious. The whole family will love the experience and your wallet will appreciate their newest mid-week special. Kids eat free on Wednesday evenings with the purchase of an adult entree! Follow
Zaika on Facebook for more details and last minute updates on hours and specials.

Kokomo Kids Play

The Window at the Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom
at KHCPL Russiaville | 315 Mesa Drive, Russiaville, IN 46979
(765) 883-5112

Tucked in the back of the Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom at the Russiaville Branch of the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library is a large glass window in a wooden easel. This area is deemed the art area. Window paint and brushes of all kinds are left out on the easel for children to play and make art with. It becomes a beautiful mix of color and imagination after a few minutes of play time. However, the window is also used for another type of play kids love that may surprise you — cleaning! Yes, when the program aligns, the window is made messy on purpose and children use soap, sponges and squeegees to make it clean. The best part of course is getting very wet and sudsy in the process. The window is certainly one of our favorites, but the Nature Explore Outdoor classroom has much more to offer. Visit the KHCPL Website to learn more and see any upcoming programs in the classroom at KHCPL Russiaville.

Youth Art Classes at the Carver Community Center
1030 N. Purdum St., Kokomo, IN 46901 | (765) 457-9318

If you haven’t checked out what’s going on at the Carver  Community Center lately, you are definitely missing out. There are many new and exciting programs happening each month for youth of all ages. Every Thursday, Rhonda Eads hosts youth art classes in two sessions. Youth in grade 3-8 meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and high school age youth meet from 6 until 7:30 p.m. These groups have a great time after school and are working with different media each week. A membership with the Carver Community Center is the best value to participate in programs like these art classes, but without a membership the classes cost $10 per week or $25 per month. For more information about art classes and other programs offered at the Carver Community Center, you can call the center or email kokomocarver@gmail.com.
